Dear Prayer Partners,
We had a BIG disappointment today with the bore well drilling. They drilled the spot the surveyor said was the best spot-even going up to 500 feet, no water. You can imagine our disappointment and the waste of Rs. 34,000. Please pray for God's guidance and wisdom for the next step.
Tomorrow morning Raju is taking us to the family seminar to Nalgonda area, nearly 4 hours from Hyderabad. The seminar is for a local church for 2 days. We will return home late night Thursday. Do not like to be gone long with the way things are with Jay's mom with her problem with Alzheimer's. With Raju driving us, we need to be away only one night. The new Caregiver is working out quite well and Amma is responding well to her for which we are grateful
Love,
Kailas

Regarding the situation with the borewell, the Lord spoke to our hearts this morning through the following devotional:
"Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." John 20:29
How strong is the snare of the things that are seen, and how necessary for God to keep us in the things that are unseen! If Peter is to walk on the water he must walk; if he is going to swim, he must swim, but he cannot do both. If the bird is going to fly it much keep away from fences and the trees and trust its buoyant wings. But if it tries to keep within easy reach of the ground, it will make poor work of flying.
God had to bring Abraham to the end of his own strength, and to let him see that in his own body as good as dead, and then take God for the whole work; and when he looked away form himself, and trusted God alone, then he became fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able to perform. That is what God is teaching us, and He has to keep away encouraging results until we learn to trust without them, and then He loves to make His Word real in fact as well as faith. –AB Simpson
I do not ask that He must prove
His Word is true to me,
And that before I can believe
He first must let me see.
It is enough for me to know
'Tis true because He says 'tis so;
On His unchanging Word I'll stand
And trust till I can understand.

2 Corinthians 1
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
